Where to Eat in Marbella: Our Local Guide to the Best Restaurants, Brunch & Cafés

Forget the tourist traps. From Michelin-starred tasting menus in the Old Town to the best cinnamon buns in the Golf Valley, the La Sala Homes team shares their personal guide to eating in Marbella.

Working in Marbella property means spending a lot of time out and about. Morning meetings become coffees, viewings finish just in time for lunch, and knowing where to send a client for dinner is practically part of the job. In our line of work, we don't just sell the four walls of a villa; we sell the lifestyle that comes with it.

So, rather than another generic ranking of Marbella's “best” restaurants, this is a collection of the places the La Sala Homes team actually recommends. Some are polished, some are casual, some are world-famous, and others we'd rather didn't get too well known. From a quick espresso between Nueva Andalucía viewings to a three-hour celebration in the Old Town, here is where you'll find us eating around the Costa del Sol.

1. The Art of the Marbella Brunch

In Marbella, brunch isn’t just a meal; it’s an event. Whether you are looking for a post-yoga green juice or a decadent weekend spread, these are our top picks for starting the day properly.

When you want the full Marbella experience: Marbella Club

Elegant, established, and unmistakably Marbella. The buffet at the Marbella Club is legendary. It’s the place where we take visitors who want to see the quintessential side of the Golden Mile. The service is old-school perfection, and the setting amongst the tropical gardens is unmatched.
Best for: A leisurely breakfast that becomes brunch.

For the wellness crowd: Rachel’s Eco Love

Situated within the grounds of the Puente Romano Resort, Rachel’s is the go-to for healthy bowls, protein pancakes, and fresh juices. It’s vibrant, photogenic, and the food actually tastes as good as it looks.
Best for: Post-workout fuel or a light, sunny morning.

When brunch needs an atmosphere: Boho Club

Boho Club offers a more contemporary, social vibe. The décor is stunning, and the weekend brunch often features live music or a DJ, making it the perfect spot to start a celebratory day with friends.
Best for: Weekend gatherings and social atmosphere.

2. Lunching Like a Local: From Golf Valley to the Shore

The Marbella lunch is an art form. It’s often long, always social, and frequently takes place outdoors. We categorise our lunches by the "vibe" of the afternoon ahead.

For the client lunch: El Patio (Marbella Club) or Cappuccino

If we are meeting a client to discuss a property acquisition, we head to El Patio. It is quiet, sophisticated, and incredibly private. Alternatively, Cappuccino on the Paseo Marítimo offers that classic sea view with a touch of class that never fails to impress.
Best for: Business discussions and sophisticated surroundings.

Between Nueva Andalucía viewings: Magna Golf or Hacienda Los Naranjos

If the morning’s viewings have taken us around Nueva Andalucía and the Golf Valley, Magna Golf is one of those places that makes an easy transition from work to lunch. The views over the course and La Concha are spectacular. Hacienda Los Naranjos offers a similar relaxed, high-quality experience deep in the heart of the valley.
Best for: Convenience without sacrificing the view.

When you want to be by the sea: Chiringuito Basilio or Trocadero

Nothing beats the smell of espetos (sardines on a skewer) cooking over a wood fire. For an authentic, "sand-on-your-feet" experience, we head to Chiringuito Basilio. If we want something a little more "Marbella chic" with lounge music, Trocadero is the coastal classic.
Best for: Mediterranean vibes and fresh seafood.

3. Dinner: Where Marbella Gets Serious

As the sun sets, the dining scene transforms. From Michelin stars in the Casco Antiguo to high-energy hotspots on the Golden Mile, dinner is where the city really shines.

For the Food Connoisseurs

Skina: Tucked away in the narrow streets of the Old Town, this two-Michelin-star restaurant is intimate and revolutionary.
Ta-Kumi: Arguably the best Japanese food in the city. It’s where the locals go when they want world-class sushi without the Golden Mile price tag.
Roostiq: The mastery of fire. Their wood-fired pizzas and grilled meats are simply incredible.

For the Marbella Night Out

If you want dinner to turn into a night of cocktails and dancing, the "Plaza" at Puente Romano is the place to be.

For Something Understated

Sometimes you want luxury without the "show." Los Abanicos in Benahavís is a legendary steakhouse that every property professional knows, while Fisherman’s Daughter offers incredibly fresh seafood in a more relaxed, modern setting.

4. Tapas: The Authentic Heart of Marbella

Marbella does polished dining extremely well, but sometimes the best plan is considerably simpler: a cold drink, a few plates for the table, and ordering another round because nobody is quite ready to leave. This is where we go when we want the real Spain.

5. The LSH Picks: If You Only Have One Day...

If you forced the La Sala Homes team to choose just one place in each category, these would be our "desert island" winners:

Category The LSH Pick Why? Brunch Ground Best sourdough in Marbella. Lunch Magna Golf The best view in the Golf Valley. Dinner Ta-Kumi Unrivalled consistency and quality. Tapas Casa Curro The atmosphere is unbeatable. Coffee Nybakat The best coffee and cinnamon buns in Spain.

Whether you are looking to settle down or just visiting for the weekend, we hope this guide helps you navigate the incredible flavours of our city. See you at the table!
