About Playa de la Bajadilla
A compact, sheltered beach located right next to Marbella's fishing port, La Bajadilla has a wonderfully authentic character. The small harbour wall provides natural protection, creating calm, warm waters ideal for young swimmers. Local fishermen still land their catch here daily, and you can often buy fresh fish directly from the boats. The beach connects to the Paseo Marítimo and is a short walk from Marbella's Old Town. The adjoining port area has several unpretentious fish restaurants where the locals eat, look for the ones with Spanish families queuing at lunchtime. The lighthouse at the port entrance makes for a charming photo spot. This is Old Marbella at its most genuine.
