Over Monte Mayor Golf Club
One of the most elevated courses on the Costa del Sol, Monte Mayor sits at 700 metres above sea level offering breathtaking 360° panoramic views stretching from the Strait of Gibraltar to the Rif Mountains of Morocco. The par-71 mountain course plays noticeably cooler in summer, a welcome relief for golfers escaping the coastal heat. The layout uses the natural mountainous terrain brilliantly, with dramatic elevation changes, narrow fairways through cork oak forests, and undulating greens that demand precision. The intimate clubhouse offers a rustic Andalusian restaurant serving hearty local cuisine, a cosy bar, and a small but well-stocked pro shop. The cooler mountain climate and peaceful setting make it a favourite escape for golfers seeking something different from the typical coastal resort courses.
